But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding. •

God created everything in the earth to provide for our needs and enjoyment—a great variety of food, abundant resources for our protection and pleasure, and an awesome planet to explore. Colossians 1:16

God has revealed to us in nature the entire perfect economy of all creation—from the tiniest microscopic elements to the vastness of the complex universe. Male and female of every species reproduce after it's own kind. The interdependence of every biological being on earth is perfectly woven together. Psalm 24:1-2 Romans 1:20 Our own epidermis houses a complex system of systems—muscular, skeletal, nervous, cardiovascular, digestive, reproductive—all working in perfect harmony with each other, and we rarely ever give it a thought.

Observation is the first step in scientific inquiry, using all of our senses to formulate hypotheses. We can observe an abundance of cyclical processes in nature, yet scientists still cannot explain how the complex metamorphosis of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly came into being. Biologists haven't even begun to unravel the mystery of how the incredibly complex DNA molecule was originally formed. Centuries of experimental investigation fail to theorize the source of flight of birds and insects; or the vision that is suited to each species; or the spontaneous camouflage of lizards and sea animals; or the defense mechanisms of beetles, skunks, sea jellies, and snakes; or the symbiotic relationship between thousands of plant and animal species. Our planet, along with our moon, just happen to be in the perfect location within our solar system to support and sustain all of this diverse, interconnected life. Jeremiah 10:12 Each of us can observe the awesomeness of nature and conclude that there is purpose and design that is beyond our comprehension. Ecclesiastes 8:17 Psalm 19:1

Since the beginning, God placed on humans the responsibility of being custodians of His creation. Genesis1:26-29 Yet many of our selfish endeavors have resulted in pollution and careless wastefulness—and we continue to reap the consequences. As important as it is for us to tread cautiously in our environment and conserve our resources, God is far more concerned with us being custodians of his most valuable creation... us. John 13:34 1John 4:11

So, where did WE come from? One of the scientific theories of biological origins is called Intelligent Design. It is not a 'creation' theory, but is solely based on scientific observation and discovery. It asserts that the universe and living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, and are far too complex to have spontaneously developed by billions of random chances over extraordinary long periods of time. The Bible asserts that the "intelligence" behind the origin of human beings is by the creativity of the Trinity, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness." Genesis 1:26 Isaiah 42:5

Scientists have erroneously theorized about many things throughout history that were considered "fact" at the time. Yet, God is always right and science continues to prove Him right. The more truth that science reveals, the more it supports what God has already revealed in His Word. The more that archeology uncovers, the more it lines up with historical accounts in the Bible. The more we discover, the more God's creativity, unity and purpose are revealed to our own lives. Psalms 8:3-9

Albert Einstein summarized his quest for understanding simply,"I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts; the rest are details."

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
